Master of Science in International Economics and Public Policy

General Information

Starting in fall 2010, the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz offers a two-year Masters program in International Economics and Public Policy. The program is designed for students who aim to understand both the opportunities and the challenges faced by private and public decision-makers in an increasingly integrated world economy. It offers a sound training in economic theory and econometric techniques, enables students to critically discuss modern academic literature, and encourages them to apply their knowledge to relevant issues of business and economic policy. Graduates of the program will be prepared for positions in the private and the public sector – especially in enterprises and institutions that operate on an international scale – but the program may also serve as a starting point for an academic career. All courses are taught in English and the program explicitly addresses an international audience.
